DIY: Baking Soda Mask for Acne

DIY: Baking Soda Mask for Acne

I’ve been using myself as a guinea pig these days, (what else is new?) and I’ve been testing out the effects of baking soda on the skin. Now DISCLAIMER: If you have sensitive or dry skin, this is NOT for you. I repeat, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! (For a great mask suitable for all skin types, check out this DIY here!) This remedy is pretty hardcore. I also do not suggest you put it all over your face at once because it can be irritating. The best way to apply this mask is either directly to your active acne or in specific regions like the forehead, cheeks, chin, etc. Make sure you avoid the eye area, the creases around the nose and around the mouth area. With that said, this mask worked wonders on a blemish on my cheek and flattened it in just 2 days! Now, let’s get into this super simple DIY!

What you need:

Literally, that is all you’ll need. Now pour a little baking soda into your palm (about a half a teaspoon) then mix it with a few drops of water at a time until you get a paste that looks like this:

Smooth the mixture over the affected areas very gently, trying not to scrub your face. let it sit for 20 minutes, then rinse off. Thats it! You’re done! Such an easy way to get effective acne relief. Let me know if you try out this mask!
